This is the photo I originally picked for my hometown, and an image I have been trying to capture for years. (Sadly, my cameras suck.) It makes me want to go downtown right now and just walk amongst the blue trees.

I beat MGS4 last night. I cried.

Now here's a fanmix for the pair I love the most in the world. All of these songs were assembled before MGS4 came out, but the song selection is biased towards the events of MGS4, so... the spoilers are mild at best? There's only lyrics under the cut, and the cover art comes from a trailer screencap. There's also a bonus song at the end which I think could apply to several people in the MGS universe, but I won't say specifically who.

Zip file at the end. I can upload individual songs by request. Two of the songs come from a Snake/Otacon fanmix made a year ago by firefly99 on LJ.

I'm still hiatus-y. And there's a ton I need to do for my games. And augh.

I frivolously got The World Ends With You, the new Square-Enix game for the DS. I say frivolously because it was kind of expensive since it came out just recently, but I haven't been able to track down a copy anywhere and once I saw one hiding in HMV, I just decided to pick it up. It is REALLY REALLY REALLY FUN. The only downside to it is that there's one or two really neat features I can't get much out of because I don't know anyone else who owns a DS, and I am totally hopeless at attempting the dual combat thing, but I really like this game. I've been struggling to beat it as soon as possible so I don't get accidentally spoiled, but then I keep getting distracted with just buying stuff in the shops. And. Sigh.

I got annoyed with trying to read old RP logs and wanting to kill things because comment nesting of 100+ comment threads does not make for readability, so I ( made this little Stylish code. )

I am happy Stylish makes it very easy for me to turn these modifications on or off as needed, even though I keep forgetting. XD There have been so many times that I started looking at the BE Slambook and was extremely confused by what was going on until I realized I had comment nesting turned off. ._.

I cannot believe that I'm planning to play three characters in BNW. I am the laziest application writer in the world. Usually, if I can manage to make just one character and find opportunities to play him, I am perfectly content in a game.

Anyway, I know I absolutely need to finish Scorpius first, and then after that, I'm divided between working on Bryony or Sylvester. Sylvester has a personality (which I need to show Sunni, NOTE TO SELF) but I have no idea when it comes to other stuff, and Bryony has her history planned out but... not much when it comes to personality. Sigh. .__.

Okay, I should've come off hiatus a couple of days ago, but... uh, stuff is going on. Let's just say I am seriously considering dropping out of university, maybe taking a semester off, and enrolling into the college instead. Aside from that, being done with this semester means the return of twelve hour workdays, but eventually, eventually, my schedule will even out and I will finally have time to RP. Just not... right now.

In any case, here are my notes on Scorpius. I won't be checking IJ or my e-mail for a day or two, so I won't be able to get back to anyone about it for awhile, but THERE IT IS.

Random musing: The worst thing about trying to find a PB for a Harry Potter game is that all of the characters tend to be under the age of 17, and it's very, very rare to be able to acquire enough decent quality images for 50+ icons of a teen actor, much less interesting and varied icons. The really bizarre thing is that I've recently realized that the phenomenon of Dawson Casting applies to PBs as well — especially the paradoxical effect mentioned on that page. I was searching for a PB for a sixth year and came across this cute guy who would work really well, but my brain was like "Hmm... no, he looks too young." My brain still thinks that, even though I know he's at least seventeen in the images I found.

And don't get me started on trying to find a PB for a fourth year. God. Although in this case, I think it may have less to do with the image availability of young blonde girls, and more to do with how all these girls tend to just... not work for what I have in mind. Sigh. Saoirse Ronan turned 14 last week. Maybe I'll cave and claim her, and just desperately make icons out of whatever images come from now on.

Confession: Sometimes, I find using 22-year-old Hayden Christensen as 16-year-old Octavius (almost 17!) to be horribly distracting. I feel better about it now, after having seen Jumper and realizing how baby-faced Hayden Christensen is in Shattered Glass, but... YEAH, SOMETIMES I'M STILL AMAZED THE MODS LET ME GET AWAY WITH IT. .__.

One more paper to write and I'm done. I should probably do that instead of fucking around with pb_updates.

This is a terrible time to become active again in BE.

If anyone's been wondering what happened to me, the answer is: really stupidly sick with the flu for the last week. I'm starting to feel better now, but am still kind of miserable. I'm probably going to go take a nap as soon as i post this. ILU. :(
